Well, if you can understand THIS map, you’re good!
This is NOT meant to be used for navigating during the ride -- we’ll give you a superb route sheet on ride day. This map is ONLY to give you a rough idea of where we’re pedaling.

Here’s the dirt -- everyone starts at the Highland start/finish line, which you can see in the lower left-hand corner of the map. From there we follow the green line on the map as we head east over the new Walkway Over the Hudson car-free bridge and then turn north to visit FDR’s home, the Vanderbilt Museum, and the Mills Mansion.
With us so far? Good!

At this point the routes split. You can decide right on the spot which route you want to continue with from here.
•The 40-mile turns around at this point and heads back to the start line, making these cyclists the ONLY folks to get to pedal on the Walkway Over the Hudson twice (the prettiest part of the ride!)
•The 70s and 100s head on to Bard college, where they split. The 70s head straight over the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge and then back to the start/finish line in Highland by riding along the west side of the Hudson.
•The 100-mile riders follow the yellow line on the map north to the beautiful towns of Tivoli and Germantown, before heading over the Kingston-Rhinecliff bridge and joining up with the 70-mile riders. The 70s and the 100s follow the purple line on the map for the rest of the ride back along the west side of the Hudson to the start/finish line.
Clear as mud? You bet!
If this doesn’t make any sense, not to worry! This is here ONLY to satisfy the curiosity of those who like to examine this sort of thing.
No point in emailing us to ask questions about this map -- I don’t understand it much either, and I created it!
OK? OK!
